Robotic welding allows not only to obtain a strong seam, but also to achieve a good appearance result. This excludes the deseaming process before applying the final paintwork. Thanks to CMT (cold method transfer) technology, it is possible to weld with a cosmetic seam both black and stainless steels with a thin wall.

The result of the implementation of such solutions: An ideal execution of the operation is achieved with the exclusion of an additional process of deseaming the product before painting.

Costs are reduced, new opportunities for continuous operation of production appear.

Spot welding of aluminium parts with KUKA robots

KUKA.RoboSpin software allows to carry out spot welding of aluminum joints.

Solution features:

A lid is built into the process. In addition, it is difficult to weld sheet metal joints and their coatings. The application software rotates around the TCP (tool center point) during the welding process. This prevents the lids from sticking to the sheet, ensuring maximum welding quality and longer lid life.
