Robots have been already actively used in the world in the 70th-80th of the last century. Nowadays robotization takes over the food industry to gain the competitive advantages. There are still processes that can be carried out only by humans. But it’s about timing. Functions of machine vision or grippers with a delicate effect on products are being developed.
As experts predict, minimum 25% of all the production tasks in food industry will be performed by robots by 2025. Many companies develop robots for the food industry. Today the leader of this direction in Russia is the German concern KUKA.
